My Story

Inspired and energized by this complex and fascinating system of healing, I went on to complete extensive training in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (1995-8, obtained Registered Craniosacral Therapist status in 1998) and in the traditional manual practice of Osteopathy (2001-7) at the Canadian College of Osteopathy in Toronto. Since 2007, I have taken several post-graduate trainings in the field of Osteopathic manual therapy, most notably: Ligamentous Articular Strain, The Still Technique, and all four modules of the Endocranial Spasm curriculum which focuses on treatment of the brain. In November, 2012, I attended another training offered through the CCO on the treatment of concussions and brain injuries because of the increasing number of people seeking help with these issues.

In the last several years I have travelled internationally to volunteer my services, twice to both Peru and Honduras. It has truly been a privilege to introduce people of all ages in these countries to the benefits of manual therapy and healing touch.

Since 2000 I have been teaching Craniosacral courses to other therapists to help them enhance their clinical skills and open up new therapeutic possibilities. It has been very satisfying to take on a mentoring role with colleagues and to share my passion for working with the inherent healing forces within the body.

My Approach

The role of the therapist is to work creatively and compassionately with each person he sees in order to release the forces of health and wholeness within them. The therapist should never impose their treatment agenda on a client but instead be flexible and attentive to the unique needs of the individual. It is only when the therapist is able to be fully present during a session with patience and integrity and to connect with the true nature or essence of the person that the full potential of Health can be realized.  In this environment, a safe and harmonious space is created in which touch can open the door to healing and transformation.
